GUIDELINES FOR CLOTHING DONATIONS

Because we have very limited storage we can only accept seasonal items.

• Autumn clothing in August and September
• Winter clothing between October and December
• Spring clothing between January and March
• Summer clothing between April and June

Clothing, especially men’s coats and slacks, should be tagged with the size.

Men’s underwear and women’s lingerie must be new, with tags.

We cannot accept used underwear. Lightly used pajamas and socks are welcome.

Donations must be clean, including stuffed animals and cloth toys, washable clothing and bedding.

Consider the age, style and amount of wear of all clothing. Our staff time is limited, and it takes additional workers and time to dispose of things we can’t use.

Good children’s shoes and boots are needed. Well-worn shoes are not accepted.

Appliances must have safe cords and be in working condition. We ONLY accept small appliances like toaster ovens, toasters, hair dryers, etc.

Items folded, boxed or on hangers is appreciated. Donations stuffed in garbage bags are often not presentable for immediate transfer to our clients.
